Batman: Arkham Knight

Batman-Arkham-Knight-Game-HD-Wallpaper-1080pToday we take on the role of The Bat yet again in Batman Arkham Knight. The conclusion to Rocksteady’s a beloved Batman Arkham trilogy. And yes I am awear there are four games now, and no Batman: Origins does not count since it was not developed by Rocksteady but by WB Montreal. Batman is up against his baddest foe yet, boredom!

It’s been a year since the passing of The Joker and the people of Gotham have never felt more safe in years. Gotham crime has nearly been eradicated. With nothing to do Batman has grown uneasy, constantly overthinking and replaying the events that led up to the Jokers end. Maybe its denial or maybe he feels there was a necessary bond between him and the Joker. But don’t worry, Scarecrow has something cooked up that may just put a stop to Batman’s new found mundane life. This Halloween (ugh I feel like I was narrating an annual Halloween movie commercial) Scarecrow will be threating the great city of Gotham with the newest strain of his fear toxin. With bombs planted all throughout the city, the citizens of Gotham evacuate leaving only the brace behind. Or the stupid depending on how you perceive things. This leaves goold ol Gordon and his police force to fend off insurmountable waves of goons and baddies. Of course his pal Batman will be there to save him and make sure they all survive… Right?! RIGHT?!?!?! Ah hell we will just have to play the game right? RIGHT??!! Exactly.

Up to “bat” (HA! See what I did there? Ahhhh Bat puns are the coolest) for the Batman will be Robin, Nightwing, Catwoman, Azrael and Oracle. Looking to tear him limb from limb is Penguin, Two Face, Harley Quinn, Riddler, Firefly, Man Bat (Is it just me are is this the most creative guy out of the bunch?) and Poison Ivy. There is also another foe up against Bruce and his Caped alter-ego. He is known as the Arkham Knight(mysterious no?) and resembles Batman to a “t” except with a futuristic set of armor and no big deal or anything but he also has his own army and super High-Tech weapons. Badass right! Batman is going to get it this time. But I wonder…(thinks for a moment) could there be any more surprises in Gotham? Get the game and find out.

A few disclaimers:

1)      The Batmobile Edtion of the game has been canceled. Rocksteady had this to say.

“Dear Batman: Arkham Fans,

We regret to inform you that we are not able to release the Batmobile Collector’s Edition of Batman: Arkham Knight due to unforeseen circumstances that greatly compromised the quality of this extremely limited run of product. We are deeply apologetic for this unfortunate outcome. If you did pre-order the Batmobile Collector’s Edition, please go to the retail location where you pre-ordered the product and you will receive a full refund of your deposit or it can be rolled over to another Batman: Arkham Knight edition or another product of your choice. We will be providing everyone who purchases Batman: Arkham Knight with the New 52 skin pack, including Batman, Robin and Nightwing, free of charge.”

2)      Some retailers have delayed the release of the Limited Edition of the game. But not to worry anyone affected by this will receive a download code for the game so all you will have to do is wait patiently for your statue and Steelbook. No big deal right?

I will be sharing my personal thoughts on the game first hand once I get so in the meantime please share your thoughts and ideas in the comments below. And please check out our Facebook page where we are currently having a contest to win a free copy of Kingsmen: The Secret Service.

I pre ordered the limited edition and it was delayed… shame because City was my favourite game of all time. I won’t download it because it would be like 100GB and with my internet the game would just arrive faster.
